Meet the Maker

Hi, I'm Erin! 

Thank you so much for checking out Paper Ruby! I fell head over heels for acrylic jewelry years ago and spent many nights dreaming about owning my own laser and bringing my creations to life (laser dreams are totally normal, right?)

As a kid I was so upset that my real name wasn't Sparkle Jewel (still am, tbh). As I got older nothing in the house was safe from me turning it into jewelry: game pieces, doll shoes, windchimes...I've even been known to pluck the Christmas ornaments right off the tree and pop them in my ears on my way out the door!

As you can see, this jewelry love runs deep. I inherited my obsession with all things accessories from my Mimi, who had the greatest jewelry collection of all time (of which I'm now the proud caretaker). She had a sparkle all her own and I feel so blessed to put a little of it back out into the world with this jewelry business.
